Approval of this item will provide shelter, case management, and financial assistance for homeless individuals and households who reside at the Austin Shelter for Women and Children and Rathgeber Center for Families Emergency Shelters. This action will authorize an amendment to the Homeless Strategy Office's Homeless Housing and Services General Set-Aside Program agreement with Salvation Army, beginning September 1, 2025, and add funds to the remaining two 12-month extension options. On May 19, 2025, the City received notification of the 2026 allocation of funding for Austin in the amount of $565,526 for the program term of September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2026.
