Authorize negotiation and execution of an amendment to the interlocal agreement with Travis County for the City's provision of public health services, for a three-month period beginning February 1, 2025, ending April 30, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $1,727,098 to be paid to the City. Funding: Travis County will reimburse the City for the Public Health Services provided by the City through a cost recovery model.

Pursuant to the terms of various agreements, Austin Public Health has provided public health services throughout the unincorporated areas of Travis County (County) since 1985. City and County staff worked together for several years to consolidate the patchwork of agreements and amendments for these services, resulting in an interlocal agreement (ILA) that was approved by the County Commissioners Court and City Council on September 27, 2007, and October 18, 2007, respectively. The original ILA was renewed several times prior to adoption of the current ILA.
This action will authorize negotiation and execution of an amendment to the current ILA for a three-month period beginning on January 1, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $1,727,098.
