Prior Council Action:
September 1, 2022 - Council approved the negotiation and execution of four social services agreements with three agencies, including one agreement with the Austin Travis County Mental Health & Mental Retardation Center d/b/a Integral Care on an 11-0 vote.

According to the most recent TX-503 Continuum of Care Needs and Gaps Report, nearly one-third of people served by the Austin/Travis County Homeless Response System are chronically homeless. This means they have a disabling condition-such as a mental illness, substance use disorder, or physical disability-and have either been homeless continuously for at least a year or experienced four or more episodes of homelessness over the past three years, totaling at least 12 months.
