April 9, 2026 – Austin Housing Finance Corporation authorized negotiation and execution of a loan agreement and related documents with Verbena Flats LP, or an affiliated entity, in an amount not to exceed $8,000,000 for a multifamily rental development to be known as Verbena Flats, located at or near 1017 West Slaughter Lane, Austin, Texas 78748.

This action conducts a public hearing on an application that will be, or has been, submitted to the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. The applicant, Verbena Flats LP, or an affiliated entity, seeks funding for the development through federal 4% non-competitive housing tax credits (4% HTCs) and private activity bonds. After the public hearing, Council will consider a resolution related to the proposed application. The property is located within the City in Council District 5.
