Prior Council Action:
May 2, 2024 - City Council approved the execution of an amended and restated interlocal agreement for the Austin Regional Intelligence Center to combine the Original Agreement, subsequent amendments, and the Sustainment Funding Agreement into a single agreement to streamline administrative processes.

The Austin Regional Intelligence Center (ARIC) is a collaborative effort among partnering agencies providing resources, expertise, and information to a single center to enhance the ability to detect, prevent, and respond to emerging crime trends or potential terrorism activity by linking existing law enforcement data. There are currently 25 partner agencies in the Central Texas area. By approving this amendment, the City authorizes the addition of an additional partner agency to the funding mechanism created to fund the sustainment of the ARIC.
