Fiscal Note
Funding in the amount of $3,000,000 is available from the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (CapMetro). CapMetro has allocated an amount not to exceed $1,000,000 for Fiscal Year 2023-2024, Fiscal Year 2024-2025, and Fiscal Year 2025-2026 for transit supportive capital projects to be determined by CapMetro and the City. A fiscal note is attached.
Prior Council Action:
September 30, 2021-Ordinance No. 20210930-101 authorizing negotiation and execution of an amendment to the interlocal agreement with CapMetro was approved by Council on a 11-0 vote.
March 22, 2018-Ordinance No. 20180822-032 authorizing negotiation and execution of an interlocal agreement with the CapMetro to develop and construct transportation system improvement was approved by Council on a 10-0 vote with Council Member Pool absent.

The Interlocal Cooperation Agreement (ILA) between the City and Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Transit Speed and Reliability Project) effective March 22, 2018, and the amendment to that agreement effective September 30, 2021, authorizes the parties to cooperatively develop and construct a transportation system that serves a variety of users who use different types of transportation such as sidewalks, buses, and other vehicles that travel on the roads.
