Additional Backup Information:

The Austin Public Facilities Corporation (APFC) Board of Directors consists of seven members who are City staff and confirmed by the City Council. In June of 2025, Anna Bryan-Borja retired from the City of Austin vacating her space on the Board. This action seeks to replace her with Joseph Gonzales, Deputy Director for Business Services at Austin Water, to complete a term ending February 26, 2026.

The APFC was created by Council in February 2023 to assist the City with financing, acquisition, construction, rehabilitation, or otherwise placing public facilities into service. The creation of the APFC allows the City to develop or redevelop city owned properties using a similar approach as was used for the completion of the Permitting and Development Center, Austin Energy Headquarters, and Austin Energy Service Center. As one of the fastest growing cities in the country, the City must provide basic services to the community which requires new, improved, and updated facilities to meet these needs.
