July 29, 2021 - Council approved Ordinance No. 20210729-064 amending the Fiscal Year 2020-2021 Austin Public Health Department Operating Budget Special Revenue Fund (Ordinance No. 20200812-001) to accept and appropriate $14,804 in additional grant funds from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs for the Ending Homelessness Fund, on an 11-0 vote.

On May 30, 2023, the City received notification of the 2024 allocation of funding to Austin for the Homeless Housing and Services Program (HHSP) Ending Homelessness Fund (EHF) grant in the amount of $64,104 for the period of September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2024.
Austin Public Health will allocate HHSP EHF funding to provide financial assistance to support the HHSP Youth Set-Aside Program through its partnership with the Youth and Family Alliance, Inc., d/b/a LifeWorks (LifeWorks) to provide emergency shelter services, case management, street outreach, and housing assistance for homeless youth and young adults up to age 24 through our partnership with LifeWorks.
