Additional Backup Information:

Based on the City’s adopted Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget, City Council adopted a tax rate that exceeds the City’s voter-approval tax rate.  Per Texas Tax Code Section 26.07, the registered voters of the full purpose part of the City must determine whether to approve the adopted tax rate. This ordinance orders and provides for the conduct of an election to be held for that purpose.
