March 23, 2023 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of an amendment to the interlocal agreement with Travis County for the City's provision of public health services for a six-month term beginning on April 1, 2023, without objection.
December 8, 2022 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of an amendment to the interlocal agreement with Travis Count for the City's provision of public health services for a six-month term beginning on October 1, 2022, on an 11-0 vote.

Pursuant to the terms of various agreements, the Austin Public Health Department has provided public health services throughout the unincorporated areas of Travis County since 1985. City and County staff worked together for several years to consolidate the patchwork of agreements and amendments for these services, resulting in an interlocal agreement approved by the County Commissioners Court and Council on September 27, 2007 and October 18, 2007, respectively. The original interlocal agreement was renewed several times prior to adoption of the current interlocal agreement on December 9, 2021.
