This contract will provide professional historic resource survey services to complete the East Austin Historic Resource Survey Update, a 10-year update of the 2016 East Austin Historic Resource Survey completed by HHM & Associates, Inc. East Austin was identified due to rapid development pressures, historical underrepresentation in preservation planning, and the need to update the survey to reflect current conditions, community input, and cultural resources. The survey will provide up-to-date information that will inform planning initiatives, development review, heritage tourism, and preservation strategies in East Austin.
The project work includes archival research, fieldwork, and community engagement to identify and evaluate properties and places of historic significance.
