Title: Authorize negotiation and execution of 10 agreements with selected local artists: Aaron Michalovic, Alejandra Almuella, Carmen Rangel, Dave McClinton, Dawn Okoro, Deborah Roberts, Diego Miro-Rivera, Jenaro Goode, Rex Hamilton, and Tsz Kam; and five alternate artists: Betelhem Makonnen, Ruben Esquivel, Manik Nakra, Anahita Bradberry, and Laura Lit; for the architecturally-integrated Art in Public Places projects for the Austin Convention Center Redevelopment and Expansion Project in an amount not to exceed $2,400,000, to be divided equally among the artists. Funding: $2,400,000 is available in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Austin Convention Center Expansion budget.

Council Committee, Boards and Commission Action:
On June 3, 2024, the Art in Public Places (AIPP) Panel approved the Prospectus/Limited Entry Pool selection method for the architecturally-ntegrated AIPP projects for the Austin Convention Center redevelopment, totaling $12 million.

On July 15, 2024, the Arts Commission approved the Prospectus/ Limited Entry Pool selection method for the architecturally-integrated AIPP projects for the Austin Convention Center redevelopment, totaling $12,000,000.

On August 19, 2024, the Arts Commission approved the Limited Entry Pool Nominated Artist List and the Selection Panel List for the architecturally-integrated AIPP projects for the Austin Convention Center redevelopment, pending AIPP Panel approval on September 9, 2024.
