Authorize negotiation and execution of an agreement with Central Texas Food Bank, Inc. to provide a Title I school food pantry services program for food security for Austin/Travis County children and families in the Round Rock Independent School District for a five-month term ending on September 30, 2026, in an amount not to exceed $150,000, for a total agreement amount not to exceed $150,000. Funding: $150,000 is available in the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Austin Public Health Department’s Operating Budget.

Prior Council Action:
August 13, 2025 - Council adopted resolution 20250813-024, aligned with the Austin/Travis County Food Plan, directing the City Manager to partner with Central Texas Food Bank to establish food pantries at Title I schools with an Austin address and a parent support specialist or person with a similar role. Approved on a 11-0 vote.

This action will authorize negotiation and execution of a new social services agreement with Central Texas Food Bank, Inc., to assess and provide infrastructure for an on-site food pantry for the Round Rock Independent School District School Food Access program to increase food security for Austin/Travis County children and families. The direction for this agreement is outlined in Council Resolution No. 20250813-024, which establishes food pantries in Title I elementary schools.
