Fiscal Note

Funding in the amount of $193,000 is available in the 1115 Medicaid Waiver budget.  Continued funding is contingent on successful contract performance and available funding in future 1115 Medicaid Waiver budgets.

 

Prior Council Action:

August 2, 2012- Council approved Resolution No. 20120802-029 supporting participation in the Federal 1115 Medicaid Waiver Program on a 7-0 vote

 

June 15, 2017 - Council approved a Resolution No. 20170615-027 authorizing negotiation and execution of an interlocal agreement with UTHEALTH for similar economic evaluation services on a 10-1 vote with Council Member Troxclair voting no.

Additional Backup Information:

The Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP), also known as the 1115 Medicaid Waiver, funds multiple initiatives within Austin Public Health (APH). As part of DSRIP requirements, APH is required to complete an economic evaluation in order to fulfill cost-benefit analysis and sustainability planning requirements. This economic evaluation will assist APH in sustainability planning and determining the cost-benefit impact of DSRIP initiatives.
