Fiscal Note

Funding in the amount of $236,257 is included in the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Austin Public Health Department Operating Budget. Funding for the remaining terms is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

September 1, 2022 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of an emergency agreement with Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center, on an 11-0 vote.

Additional Backup Information:

Approval of the negotiation and execution of this Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center will provide additional permanent supportive housing services to individuals with a disabling condition who are experiencing chronic homelessness.

 

This agreement was originally awarded via an emergency procurement. On July 18, 2022, the Austin Public Health Department presented the opportunity to nine organizations. A tenth organization was included in the opportunity discussions on July 19, 2022. In response, three organizations submitted an Interest Form to provide permanent supportive housing and one was selected. An internal committee reviewed the Interest Forms and recommended this award based on the information provided and departmental priorities.
