The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has initiated a project to review signs and markings associated with railroad grade crossings and perform work needed to ensure compliance with Federal and State standards for railroad grade crossings.  This work will include providing, installing and/or replacing the railroad markings and signs as necessary.  The crossings anticipated to be included are listed in Exhibit A.

This project would be entirely funded by Federal Highway Administration Section 130 funding administered by TxDOT including design, letting the contract, selecting the contractor, and administering the contract.  TxDOT will coordinate design with City staff.

Upon completion of the project, the City will continue to maintain the signs and markings associated with railroad grade crossings within the City, other than on roads maintained by TxDOT.
