Authorize negotiation and execution of Amendment No. 1 to the agreement with African American Youth Harvest Foundation for the Harvest Trauma Recovery Center to improve the quality of life for community members who are survivors of violence and decrease psychosocial distress, minimize long-term disability, reduce the risk of future victimization and promote post-traumatic growth by using the Trauma Recovery Center model to increase access to healing and support services, to add one 13-month extension option to the agreement through the term ending September 30, 2026, and adding $2,445,000, for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $3,445,000.

Fiscal Note
Funding in the amount of $1,445,000 is available in the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Austin Public Health Department Special Revenue Budget and funding in the amount of $1,000,000 is available in the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Municipal Court Budget Stabilization Reserve Fund.
Prior Council Action:
July 20, 2023 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of an initial agreement with African American Youth Harvest Foundation for Harvest Trauma Recovery Center to provide Trauma Recovery Center services to survivors of violent crime and their families from underserved populations for $1,000,000, for a 24-month term beginning September 1, 2023, for a total agreement amount not to exceed $1,000,000, on consent on an 11-0 vote.
