This item requests the Council to conduct a public hearing to receive public comments and hear evidence on the proposed changes to rates and fees included in Austin Water’s Fiscal Year 2025-2026 proposed budget. The proposed changes to Austin Water rates are attached.
City Code Section 15-9-3 specifically requires a public hearing prior to the Council approving any changes in electric, water, wastewater, and solid waste service rates.
