This contract will provide original equipment manufacturer parts and repair services for the City's fleet of Spartan fire apparatuses on an as-needed basis. The City currently has 21 Spartan fire apparatuses, with an additional eight Spartan fire apparatuses on order. The recommended contractor is the only authorized dealer in Texas for Spartan fire apparatuses.
This contract will replace a contract which expires May 22, 2024. The requested authorization amounts for this contract were determined by using departmental estimates based on historical spending and will allow for an annual increase for parts associated with aging fire apparatuses as well as future acquisitions. The recommended contractor is the current provider of these goods and services.
