Authorize negotiation and execution of all documents and instruments necessary or desirable to acquire approximately 6.579 acres of land generally located on the south line of Slaughter Creek, with access from Harbour Town Circle and Pine Valley Drive, Austin, Texas 78747, from Anders M. Rasmussen and Lisabeth P. Rasmussen, for a total amount not to exceed $1,210,000, including closing costs, for park and recreation purposes. The property to be acquired consists of fee simple ownership of real property to the north of Onion Creek Subdivision, being 3.255 acres out of the Santiago Del Valle Grant Survey, Travis County, Texas and 3.324 acres out of Lot 128, Block C, Parkside at Slaughter Creek Section 3, a subdivision of record in Document No. 200300206 of the Official Public Records of Travis County, Texas. Funding: $1,210,000 is available in the Capital Budget of Austin Parks and Recreation.

The property comprises of four parcels totaling approximately 6.579 acres (286,612 square feet) located along the southern border of Slaughter Creek, adjacent to Slaughter Creek Neighborhood Park on the west and single-family homes on the south and east. The site is accessible from two rights-of-way, Harbour Town Circle and Pine Valley Drive, both of which connect to Pinehurst Drive. These access points would link the existing Slaughter Creek Neighborhood Park to neighborhoods to the east.
