Funding in the amount of $150,000 is available in the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 operating budget of the Employee Benefits Fund of Austin Human Resources. Funding for the original contract period and extension options is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

Prior Council Action:
July 29, 2020 - Council approved the initial agreement on a 10-0 vote with Mayor Adler off the dais.

Additional Backup Information:
This interlocal agreement continues a long-standing employee benefit, created by the City's Clean Air Initiative, which provides City employees access to CapMetro transportation services. This program is funded by the City's Employee Benefits Fund. The Commuter benefit is an integral component of the initiative to reduce single occupancy vehicle trips. This agreement with CapMetro will provide transportation passes to City of Austin employees for CapMetro transit services (bus, rail, vanpool), and CapMetro Access (paratransit services), significantly decreasing carbon emissions.
