Approve an ordinance amending the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Austin Transportation and Public Works Operating Budget Special Revenue Fund (Ordinance No. 20250813-005) to accept funds from the Texas Department of Transportation in an amount up to $515,486 for the installation of traffic monitoring systems at locations throughout the City; and amending the Capital Budget of Austin Transportation and Public Works (Ordinance No. 20250813-005) to transfer in and appropriate up to $515,486 for the installation of the traffic monitoring systems. Funding: $515,486 is available from the Texas Department of Transportation. A City funding match of $161,090 is required and available in the Fiscal Year 2025-2026 Austin Transportation and Public Works Department's Capital Budget.

December 11, 2025 - Resolution No. 20251211-080 authorizing the negotiation and execution of an advance funding agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for installation of traffic monitoring devices funded through the Surface Transportation Block Grant Program was approved on consent on Council Member Ellis' motion, Council Member Vel?squez's second on an 11-0 vote.
June 19, 2019 - Ordinance No. 20190619-074 authorizing negotiation and execution of an Advance Funding Agreement with the Texas Department of Transportation for the design and installation of additional traffic monitoring cameras and a video management system was approved on a 10-0 vote with Council Member Harper-Madison absent.
