Prior Council Action:
August 25, 2011 - Council passed Resolution No. 20110825-067, which established the 5th Street Mexican American Heritage Corridor.

December 14, 2023 - Council authorized a contract for Phase 1 outreach services related to establishment of the 5th St. Mexican American Heritage Corridor.

Additional Backup Information:
This proposed action will authorize funding of a professional services contract with Mexic-Arte Museum to provide services related to the development of a Cultural Tourism Plan and pursuit of State Cultural District designation for the 5th Street Mexican American Heritage Corridor. Mexic-Arte Museum has served as a lead convener of history, research, stakeholders, and partners, while continuing to program the corridor for future community led visioning, development, and designation.
