The City and the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) have been collaborating on the 9-1-1 Geographic Information System (GIS) data for the City and its transition to Next Generation 9-1-1 emergency communications.
CAPCOG will provide funding and oversee the quality control of GIS data. Pursuant to Chapter 791 of the Texas Government Code, this 1-year interlocal agreement with CAPCOG authorizes the City to maintain and update the CAPCOG 9-1-1 GIS database during the period of October 1, 2025 to September 20, 2026, and to be compensated for such work.
