Prior Council Action:

On February 23, 2023, Council approved the appointments to the Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission who will advise City Council on public health programs, projects and services within Austin and Travis County.

 

On October 13, 2022, the Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission was established to serves as an advisory body to the City Council and Travis County Commissioners Court concerning public health programs, projects, services, public health and human service’s needs, and approaches for improvement.

 

September 30, 2021 - Council approved Resolution No. 20210930-108, directing the City Manager to collaborate with Travis County and create joint Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission on a 10-1 vote.

Approval of this item will complete the complement of voting members to the Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission Boards and Commission by filling an existing vacancy on the commission.
