Prior Council Action:
On September 24, 2026, Council approved the appointment of four representatives to the Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission to advise City Council on public health programs, projects and services within Austin Travis County.
On February 23, 2023, Council approved the appointments to the Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission who will advise City Council on public health programs, projects and services within Austin and Travis County.
The Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission was established October 13, 2022, and serves as an advisory body to the City Council and Travis County Commissioners Court concerning public health programs, projects, services, public health and human service’s needs, and approaches for improvement.
September 30, 2021, Council approved Resolution No. 20210930-108, directing the City Manager to collaborate with Travis County and create joint Austin/Travis County Public Health Commission on a 10-1 vote.
