Additional Backup Information:

The Transportation and Public Works Department has identified several buildings along major highways to monitor roadway congestion and provide elevated vantage points for staff to observe traffic and adjust signal timing to minimize delays. This proposed camera location was selected for its proximity to Highway 71 and US 290, offering an unobstructed view to effectively monitor traffic flow entering the City of Austin.
