Additional Backup Information:

Austin Public Health (APH) is a sub awardee for the primary grantee, the University of Texas, of a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Center for Forecasting and Outbreak Analytics, which will be used by APH to support a newly established Pandemic Preparedness Center (Center) at the University of Texas. The Center will be part of an outbreak response network that uses data to support decision-makers during public health emergencies collected using new analytical tools, methods, platforms, and modeling efforts. The grant funds will be used to support 1.0 existing full-time equivalent grant funded position at APH, departmental services, and the subject matter expertise of APH and the Emergency Medical Services Department.

The General Fund will not be required to contribute additional funds beyond those currently budgeted to this grant. When the grant funds expire, APH’s need for continued funding will be evaluated and may be denied.
