Authorize negotiation and execution of an agreement with The Other Ones Foundation, Inc., for bridge housing services, which assists individuals experiencing homelessness find temporary housing and supportive services with an aim to transition to permanent housing, for an initial 18-month term beginning April 1, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $375,000, with four 12-month extension options each in an amount not to exceed $250,000, for a total agreement amount not to exceed $1,375,000. Funding: $375,000 is available in the Operating Budget of Downtown Austin Community Court. Funding for the remaining agreement term is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

Long-term homelessness, physical and mental health issues, and substance use disorders are among the common challenges of the individuals served by the Intensive Case Management (ICM) program at the Downtown Austin Community Court (DACC). All of these factors serve as barriers to achieving stability and obtaining and maintaining housing. The ICM staff connect clients with supportive services and work to locate permanent housing for all clients. Bridge housing is a hybrid of emergency shelter and transitional housing to serve the target population that requires short-term housing and supportive services to achieve self-sufficiency or to access available permanent housing options.
