Additional Backup Information:

Approval of this interlocal agreement will allow the City and Prince William County, Virginia to participate in the purchase of various types of goods and services through the use of contracts already in place within each jurisdiction’s procurement processes. The City is pursuing this interlocal agreement at the request of Prince William County, Virginia.

 

The ability to share competitive contracts between jurisdictions assists each to accomplish acquisitions more efficiently. 

 

City of Austin purchases exceeding the City Manager’s authority of $74,000 will be brought forward for Council approval on a case-by-case basis prior to ordering the products or services.

 

This agreement is entered into under the provisions of the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Chapter 791, Texas Government Code.
