June 3, 2021 - Council approved Ordinance No. 20210603-058 adopting the 2021 Uniform Mechanical Code and local amendments on Mayor Pro Tem Harper-Madison's motion, Council Member Ellis' second on a 10-0 vote. Council Member Kelly was absent.

The Uniform Mechanical Code establishes minimum requirements to provide safe and efficient heating, ventilating, cooling, and refrigeration systems. The proposed ordinance reduces local amendments while addressing industry preferences. The Development Services Department obtained stakeholder feedback through the Public Input platform.
