Casa Marianella is an Austin-based nonprofit that has been operating since 1986 and offers shelter and support services to displaced immigrants. Casa Marianella is the only shelter in Austin dedicated to immigrants. Support services include case management, English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, food, clothing and toiletries, access to physical and mental healthcare, transportation, translation, education, and referrals to other nonprofit, community, and government agencies.
Approval of this item will authorize Amendment No. 10 to add $500,000 and extend the Casa Marianella Shelter Program agreement with Casa Marianella through September 30, 2025, to provide emergency and transitional shelter to immigrants experiencing homelessness.
