The City utilizes surface water resources from impoundments of the Colorado River for its potable water supply. Austin Water operates three existing Water Treatment Plants, which are Ullrich, Davis, and Handcox. The Davis Plant has been in service since 1954 and has a rated treatment capacity of 118 million gallons per day (MGD).
