Animal Services Office has provided animal services throughout the unincorporated areas of Travis County (County) through various agreements since 1985. City and County staff worked together for several years in an effort to consolidate the patchwork of agreements and amendments for these services, resulting in an interlocal agreement (ILA) that was approved by the County Commissioners Court and City Council on September 27, 2007, and October 18, 2007, respectively. This original ILA was renewed several times.
Today's action will authorize negotiation and execution of an amendment to the interlocal agreement for a four-month period beginning October 1, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $1,331,678.
