Funding for future extension options is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

This action will ratify an emergency agreement with Family Endeavors to operate the Austin Resource Center for the Homeless (ARCH) and the Eighth Street Women’s shelters. Austin Homeless Strategies and Operations chose not to renew its contract with Urban Alchemy for operations at these shelter locations.
The contract with Urban Alchemy ended September 30, 2025. To mitigate the disruption of critical services at the downtown homeless shelters, Austin Homeless Strategies and Operations executed an emergency contract with Family Endeavor.
