November 18, 2021 - Council authorized negotiation and execution of agreements to provide outreach services promoting the COVID-19 vaccine to populations at high risk of severe COVID-19 disease for an 18-month term with eight socials services agencies, on an 11-0 vote.

This action would authorize the continuation of an existing social services agreement with El Buen Samaritano Episcopal Mission that operates a program to help low-income and minority families, immigrant, refugee, documented and undocumented individuals, particularly Hispanics/Latinos/Latinx, and other populations throughout Austin's eastern crescent, by conducting outreach to promote the COVID-19 vaccine with populations at high risk of severe COVID-19 disease and who have suffered disproportionate rates of infection and disparate outcomes as a result of COVID-19.
