Additional Backup Information:

Due to rapid development in this region and increase in demand, the proposed acquisition is required for wastewater services in the area. Timely construction of approximately 23,000 linear feet of gravity-fed wastewater interceptor from the Harris Branch wastewater basin to the Dessau Wastewater Treatment Plant is needed for the Dessau Wastewater Treatment Plant to stay within its permitted limits, and it is a crucial portion of the overall wastewater service strategy in the northeast service area.

An independent, third-party appraisal was procured to establish the fair-market valuation of the proposed acquisition. The appraisal supports the purchase price of $605,142. The amount of the purchase price plus closing costs is not to exceed $613,142.
