Authorize negotiation and execution of an agreement with Communities for Recovery, Inc. for peer-based recovery support services for an initial 12-month term ending September 30, 2026, in an amount not to exceed $266,174, with four 12-month extension options each in an amount not to exceed $266,174, for a total contract amount not to exceed $1,330,870. Funding: $266,174 is available in Downtown Austin Community Court's Operating Budget. Funding for the remaining years of the agreement is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

Long-term homelessness, physical and mental health issues, and substance use disorders are among the common challenges of the clients of the Intensive Case Management (ICM) program at Austin Community Court. All of these factors serve as barriers to achieving stability and obtaining and maintaining housing. The ICM staff connects clients with supportive services and work to locate permanent housing for all clients.
Austin Community Court issued a Request for Applications (RFA) PSS2025EMS for peer-based recovery support services. The solicitation was issued on April 10, 2025, and it closed on May 22, 2025.
