May 8, 2025 - Council approved a contract for artwork for the Armadillo Water Tank AIPP Project.
August 16, 2023 - Council passed Resolution No. 20230816-015 requesting that Austin Water work with Art in Public Places (AIPP) to assess the feasibility of placing a mural on the Armadillo Park water storage tank located at 910 Armadillo Road.

March 3, 2025 - AIPP approved the selection process recommendation for the Armadillo Water Tank AIPP Project, naming William Tavis as the selected artist, Candy Kuo as the first alternate, and Efren Rebugio as the second alternate for the $133,000 commission. (Motion by Art Commission Liaison Maldonado, second by Panel member Diaz, approved 6-0-0).
March 24, 2025 - Austin Arts Commission approved the selection process recommendation for the Armadillo Water Tank AIPP Project, naming William Tavis as the selected artist, Candy Kuo as the first alternate, and Efren Rebugio as the second alternate for the $133,000 commission.
