Additional Backup Information:

This ratification is for a purchase contract needed for single-phase pad mount, three-phase pad mount, and single-phase pole mount transformers. These transformers are used to supply power to residential, commercial, and industrial customers. The transformers were used to replenish warehouse stock for immediate issuance to construction and maintenance crews for new installations within the network and to maintain existing services. Due to pandemic related labor and raw material shortages, lead times on transformers have increased dramatically, impacting Austin Energy’s emergency response and project delivery times. The current City contractor was unable to supply transformers in the quantity and timeframe needed, and as a result, Austin Energy declared a Critical Business Need in order to purchase the additional transformers from PulseMAC Solution LLC.
