Council adopted Resolution No. 20260326-041 which directed the City Manager to develop a consistent and transparent process for managing condemnations of City owned land which is now, or shall hereafter be, dedicated for park purposes while protecting the City’s legal and financial interests and to post a proposed ordinance detailing those protections for Council review and consideration.
The proposed ordinance has been drafted in consultation with Austin Parks and Recreation and the Austin City Attorney’s Office.
