Approval of this interlocal agreement with the University of Florida will allow the City and the University of Florida to participate in the purchase of various types of goods and services through the use of contracts already in place through each jurisdiction’s procurement processes. The ability to share competitive contracts between jurisdictions allows each entity to accomplish acquisitions more efficiently.

City of Austin purchases exceeding the City Manager’s authority (currently $74,000 Fiscal Year 2023-2024) will be brought forward for Council approval on a case-by-case basis prior to ordering the products or services.
