Fiscal Note
Funding in the amount not to exceed $45,000 will be provided by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The grant period extends from the execution of the Grant Agreement through 24 months after the contract effective date. A City funding match is not required. Fiscal notes are attached.

Additional Backup Information:
TCEQ has awarded the City of Austin Fleet Mobility Services Department two separate Texas Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Program grant funds in the amount of $2,500 for each activity. The grant funds will be applied toward the purchase of multiple Level 2 charging equipment for light-duty zero emission vehicles identified at various sites within the City of Austin. In collaboration with Public Works and Austin Energy, a total of 18 charging stations and will be installed to support the electrification of the City of Austin's fleet.
The goal of the grant program is to reduce damaging environmental emissions. This grant will therefore help the City achieve its sustainability goals and try to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050.
A City funding match is not required.
