Funding is available in the Fiscal Year 2021-2022 Operating Budget of the Austin Public Health Department.

Prior Council Action:
January 27, 2021 - Council authorized the negotiation and execution of the purchase of the property located at 13311 Burnet Road, Austin, TX 78727 for a total amount not to exceed $6,700,000, including closing costs. This purchase was executed on July 30, 2021.

Additional Backup Information:
If approved, the Housing and Planning Department (HPD) would be authorized to execute an agreement with Austin Travis County Integral Care (ATCIC) to fund the rehabilitation of the Bungalows at Century Park in an amount not to exceed $1,364,210.40. Renovations will include adding 15 kitchenettes and removing one wall to create a resident living room.

Following the rehabilitation of the property, ATCIC will operate the facility. This project will include 60, fully furnished, efficiency apartments. Each apartment will contain one bed. Potential residents will be referred through our community's Coordinated Entry System. Eligible individuals will be single adults with a documented chronic homelessness history and a disabling condition.
