The proposed amendment will provide Austin Energy additional funding for continued supply of high voltage circuit breakers to support operations and capital improvement program projects.
Circuit breakers protect high voltage transmission lines and substation equipment by removing the current from the circuit when an unsafe condition arises. The circuit breakers are essential to maintain the safety and reliability of the electrical system at Austin Energy substations.
