Fiscal Note

Funding in the amount of $220,667 is available in the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Operating Budget of various City departments. Funding for the remaining contract term is contingent upon available funding in future budgets.

 

Purchasing Language:

 The Financial Services Department issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) 5000 JRH1051 for these services.  The solicitation was issued on August 29, 2022 and closed on September 27, 2022. Of the four offers received, the recommended contractor submitted the lowest responsive offer. Additional Backup Information:

The contract will provide inoculation and various medical testing services for City departments. The contractor will provide all staff, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies, equipment, facilities, and waste disposal for these services. All inoculations will meet current medical standards and will follow the Center for Disease Control recommended vaccines for healthcare workers and for other City employees. Services under this contract include pre and post antibody titer tests, tuberculosis (TB) skin testing, tetanus, and TB t-spot blood testing. The following vaccination services are also included in this contract: hepatitis A, B, and combo series, hepatitis boosters, seasonal and pandemic flu, varicella, measles, mumps, and rubella, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis (tdap), and rabavert.  

 

These services are required due to select job titles of City employees who are at risk for exposure to and possible transmission of vaccine-preventable diseases from contact with sick, infected, or injured patients, infective material from patients; or contact with waste, contaminated water, and other situations.

 

This contract replaces an existing contract that expires on March 3, 2023. The recommended contractor is the current provider for these services.
