Fiscal Note
The City of Lago Vista would reimburse the City for services provided and parts used for communication equipment installations, repairs, and maintenance. Revenue to the City is projected to be an estimated $5,000 annually.
Prior Council Action:
The City has executed numerous interlocal agreements of this type over the past 28 years with other government entities in Austin, Travis County, and elsewhere in Texas for communications equipment, labor, services, and parts.

As the managing partner and program manager for the Greater Austin-Travis County Regional Radio System (GATRRS), the City of Austin’s Communications and Technology Management-Wireless Communication Services Division (Division) has provided radio communication equipment consultations, installations, maintenance, and repairs for all City radio-using departments. This interlocal agreement will allow the Division to provide the same services to the City of Lago Vista on a reimbursement basis. This ensures that the communication equipment utilized by the City of Lago Vista will be installed, maintained, and repaired in a manner consistent with required GATRRS voice- and data-radio equipment operating standards.
