The Austin Transportation and Public Works Department is implementing critical safety and mobility improvements at the FM 969 (Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) and Heflin Lane/Springdale Road intersection, US 183 (Ed Bluestein Boulevard) and Manor Road/Springdale Road, SH 71 (Ben White Boulevard) and Todd Lane/Burleson Road, and the US 183 and Cameron Road intersections. TPW has identified these locations as high-crash intersections from the 2020 Mobility Bond priority list. Staff have engaged with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to review the design concepts for all locations because TxDOT has jurisdiction over portions of FM 969, SH 71, and US 183.
