This budget amendment will support the acquisition of facilities and land included in the purchase of the Tokyo Electron tracts. The facilities will be used for public safety and administrative purposes, including the creation of a second Combined Transportation and Emergency Communications Center location (CTECC 2.0). In the coming months, staff will begin planning and design work for the conversion and renovation of the space for these purposes and return to Council for any additional required action.
The development plans for the surrounding land (purchased with a different funding source) will be completed separately.
