Additional Backup Information:

This acquisition will provide a new park within a park-deficient area of the City. As identified in the Parks and Recreation Department’s long-range plan, Our Parks, Our Future, this acquisition will address an area that is currently without any parks within walking distance. The site is suitable for pocket park amenities and recreational opportunities for children. The acquisition will also serve the adjacent Campbell Elementary School with a new park.

This acquisition will be funded by the 2018 Bond, Proposition C. An independent third-party appraisal was procured to establish the fair-market valuation of the proposed acquisition. The appraisal supports the purchase price of $768,871. The amount of the purchase price plus closing costs is not to exceed $776,467.
